The largest house in the Chimor city, Chan Chan, was Ñing An, a walled city with the most murals dedicated to marine beings and supernatural fishermen, reflecting the vital role of the sea as sustenance. Its design follows the architectural pattern of Chan Chan: a reception area with corridor to ceremonial esplanades, followed by storage, administration and audience areas for the elite.
